[B]While hunting for news I came across two related articles on the topic of race in videogames. The first came from GDC, while the other is a discussion of Final Fantasy XIII by a blogger unaware of the GDC topic.[/B]
The GDC feature was posted over at [URL=http://www.brainygamer.com/the_brainy_gamer/2010/03/what-color-is-your-hero.html]the Brainy Gamer[/URL] and looks at the panel discussion headed by James Brophy-Warren as a followup to his Game Developers Rant last year that challenged developers to provide more diversity in games. This year, the panel included Brophy-Warren, Leigh Alexander of Gamasutra, Mia Consalvo of MIT and Manveer Heir of Raven Software. Som numbers from the article:
