After you pick your jaw up off the floor, the initial raction is why? The answer lies not in the console itself, but in one of the games also offered: An incredibly rare version of Bandai's [I]Stadium Events[/I] game from 1987. Apparently, there are only a few copies in circulation and [URL=http://www.nydailynews.com/tech_guide/2010/02/14/2010-02-14_classic_nintendo_nes_console_nabs_13g_on_ebay_for_rare_stadium_events_game.html]according to the NY Daily News[/URL], it is one of the rarest games sought by collectors:

First listed on February 3 for just $9.99, within hours it shot up to $5,000, until February 10, when the game peaked at its eye-popping sale price.[/INDENT]The final bid? $13,105. There was no word on the value of the spiffy version of [I]Duck Hunt[/I] and [I]Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II[/I] included in the bundle. You also have to wonder if the seller realized what he had on his hands, with the bidding starting at only $9.99.
