You know, we just don't get many good 2d games now a days.
Sure you got the rare mario stuff nintendo puts out to appease the hard core.
You got your old school remakes and castle crashers.
But when was the last time you say a truly unique ground up 2d game that wasn't a fighter.
Well, we got one. Muramasa, the Demon blade.
If you ever played Odin sphere, good on you, as you already know vanilla ware makes some of the best games out there right now.
If not, Go get a copy of it, Please.
Anyway, Muramasa continues the pattern of 2d action beatemup that vanilla did so well in Odin sphere, but this time transports it to japan and streamlines the process.
Gone are the pace breaking plants that had to be grown or the alchemy mixes that took forever to make, the game cuts the formula down to the best and leaves out the rest.
By mixing some fast paced action with an interesting story and amazing 2d artwork, it does what most 3d games can never dream of, bring the kind of vibrant and colorful imagination that you had as a child and brings it to life.
Heres the video review from game trailers so you can see for yourself.
