Almost two years ago I joined The ECA. I had never posted in the forums until this morning though.

So, here I am; I am a Game Design graduate in Phoenix AZ, full-time IT, and full-time student at the University of Phoenix currently working on my Masters degree.

I joined The ECA because I have always felt the brunt of arguments from people who hear about the latest shooting and want to blame video games. I am usualy one of the least violent people in those discussions. I loath the fact that games are viewed as childrens play-things and of no substance. I detest the idea that games are the root of all evil in our youth.

Games are a meduim that engages its audiance more than most media ever has or will be able to. Gamers are not just passive blobs sitting infront of T.V. hour after hour without a single thought passing through their mind. We think, we problem solve, we learn how to use software at work faster than non-gamers, and we can navigate maps with ease!

I want to be a part of something that will move gamming towards its proper place in scociety as a valid art form and medium for individuals to express themselves [I]within[/I] their entertainment.
