Although the majority of religious threads have been civil, rousing debates, there has been the odd incident in which a member or members crossed the line.
In the interest of preserving freedom of speech and civility, I am containing such discussions in this section.
There are only two rules (in addition to the regular forum rules, of course):
1. Treat others as you would like to be treated
2. Take everything with a grain of salt
If you have something controversial to say, by all means say it, but try to think about how it will be received. Kinder phrasing, disclaimers, and even smilies can do a lot to soften what might otherwise be seen as a personal attack without obscuring your intended meaning.
That being said, if you cannot handle your beliefs being questioned, challenged, or even mocked, this is not the place for you. No matter what your beliefs might be, there will be someone who believes the exact opposite with equal or greater conviction. This means that you will see questions, comments, and jokes that you find offensive. It is your responsibility to separate opinions from personal attacks, report the latter to the mods, and follow rule number one regardless.
