Zippy has a new keyboard.
So as I was shopping this Xmas season I ran across a red/blue/purple led colored keyboard.

The purple pretty much won me over to the mauve side so I blew 60$ for it.
Cons
The keyboard portion of it is a slim design with slightly awkward layout, for instance the home,page,del,ins keys are combined with the number pad and numlock switches back and forth, I have gotten use to it(believe it or not..its the glowing evil board I tell you...I might even try and play some games I hate on it and wind up loving them :eek: )
Anyway the awkward layout is a minor annoyance and you can remap any key and then some so its not so bad, another minor annoyance is the media keys are not lighted...I wonder why as there is light under oh well polishing missed.
Another minor issue is USB power I have at least 1 older USB thumb drive that wont work on it,odd hardware conflicts are nothign new to me so its something to consider if you want to blow a wad of cash on this thing.
The board is heavy about 13KG or 3LB
This board can navigate a bios yet can not navigate properly into safe mode I am unsure if its a windose issues in keeping usb powered while selecting up/down on the safe mode menu its odd, but I has a PS/2 KB which I trust for such things..at least its not as bad as the 40$ blue tooth MS KB/mouse I bought 3-5 years ago to be amazed that it could only function in windoes....
Pros
The USB ports are placed close together but I have put 2 thumb drives in a 1GB and a 16GB and they run fine my old 256MB one wont work on it tho.
The Head phone and mic ports are a nice touch it dose not take much effort to wire around the KB if it offered clips to route wiring it would be a more polished board.
Mixed
The gamer keys are nice yet strange I have had mixed results using them incited of hitting the wrong keys I use to I know hit new wrong keys but at least only one at a time as they are space just right for my hammy hands.
You have to reset color and brightness level every time you boot the computer.
Depending on OS/and motherboard you might have issues using the keyboard for troubleshooting.
I instantly noticed this board is built with tight specs, this means any error in its assembly can lead to oddities and strange behavior, I had to loosen a few screws to stop it from going crazy on me like any good tsundere 0-o

I love it but the front fan mount was broke in shipping the blasted site wanted me to return it to get a new one and pay for the frocking shipping myself....I bugged the manufacturer and they sent me the part for free!

My logitech X7 mouse died so I got a cheap MS 5000 wireless mouse as a temp replacement till I can get up 50$ for a good mouse..I am annoyed the program for it dose not let you customize the wheel tilt but lets you do the rest and save it for individual programs.
I still need to get a good PSU tho ><
