Here is a question to pose to all of you:
Is it right to crack an OEM copy of Windows XP Pro to use in a virtual machine installed on the PC the OEM copy of Windows came with?
More detailed:
I have a Gateway laptop with an OEM license of XP Pro. OEM licenses are not transferable to other PCs.
I dropped Windows and Installed Ubuntu 8.04 on the Laptop.
I still have software that I need Windows for (Darn you Flash)
I installed VirtualBox and stuck my OEM Copy of windows on it.
Windows considers the virtual machine a new PC and won't validate it.
I downloaded a crack and fixed the problem.
Windows works and updates fine in my virtual machine.
Is that wrong?
