I guess we can post general ideas for the ECA and whatnot here?
I am a disenfranchised gamer (when I am not a crack smoking game nazi) from what I have seen of modern gaming the price and cost values are all out of whack but there is lil that can be done for that issue but that is not what I want to talk about today.
Today I have come to another realization that control is one of my biggest non crack smoking sticking points as I am learning disabled and my short term memory is lulzy at best as well as other minor issues that make playing a game on a hard coded set of layouts hell, what we need is full button mapping in every game we need it to be a standard thatis respected and used. There is no reason to not have it now adays you have a border audience an aging audience and one that dose not have time to learn to play a game and wind up learning ti well enough to enjoy it a month after you finish it.
You can even allow full mouse and keyboard operation and give more features to your branded models that have a nice mark up to them.
Quality, price, returns, ownership these are all that will be vetted against the times but if or when those are dealt with a more subtle and drastic issue needs to be dealt with not much control standardization but a standardization of control options IE full button mapping stick swamping for us southpaws or lefties.
With a standardization of control mapping more generic control devices can be made for those with physical disalbites if you lost a arm or hand you can use feet or leg as well as other ways to control a game but without the ability to adjust it for the individual which without it would leave any such device minmilized, impracticable and unprofitable.
Also by joining with disability groups you could levy more pressure to the industry making more inroads and getting more done over the long road.
I know Zippy portrays himself as a moronic fool but regardless of begin at least fool I think this idea more than others has its merits.
