Sadly over the past couple years Halloween has taken a steep nosedive into the mountains. Neighborhoods which use to be crowded with children knocking on doors for candy are now empty ghost towns, no longer are there kids coming to the doors, nor is there anyone for that matter on the streets in costume. Now parents take their children to "Halloween" parties at the local church. I put the word Halloween in quotation marks because you are not allowed to call a party at a church on Halloween a Halloween party, because "Halloween is an evil pagan holiday where people rape children and sacrifice virgin girls to the devil" (On an actual flier that was put on my front door)

Sadly churches and lazy parents who don't want to bother taking their children trick or treating have ruined Halloween. I miss the days when you could be out all night getting candy and having fun with your friends while having the ever loving crap scared out of you by a neighbor with a chainsaw and a hockey mask.
