I was just reading Henry Jenkin's blog, and one of his posts reproduced an essay by Matt Weise, from Gambit game blog.
In this essay, called Persepolis for Xbox 360, Weise compared the game Just Cause to Persepolis, the critically acclaimed animated movie (inspired by a comic book) on a young girl who must find her way through dictatorial post-1979 Iran. In particular, he compared his disappointment from Just Cause (what it could have been but desperately wasn't) with the way Persepolis touched him deeply, and he tried to imagine what it would feel like to have a video game based on the same idea : trying to survive and find your way through a dicatorial and repressive regime.
Definitely worth a read, IMO.
