From just watching the presidents speech, seeing the democratic rebuttal to the speech. My opinions my be short sighted but thats why I ask this.

Personally, I believe that the government is doing what they need to, lowering interest rates and letting the economy fix itself. The only area that I have seen hurt are the housing market and consumer spending because of housing market fallout. I want to blame this on people over spending on mortgages that they could never afford. The intrest rates rose after their 3yr market and now its hurting them. The housing boom led to the housing issue that we are currently seeing.

What are your opinions and how to fix this?
