Sorry about the title, little programmer's humor, sort of, I suppose. The name's Matt, aka d.vel.oper. I'm just a lowly programmer (gamedev hopeful) of 22 years of age. I've been a gamer more or less all my life, there was an NES in my house before I was even born, and before I could even walk or stand, a controller was occasionally placed in my hands. Then I got my first PC, learned HTML, Javascript, and Perl and started writing small web-based (text adventures) games. I eventually got into C and the Allegro graphics library and wrote a very, very bad Pacman clone. I'm currently working on a 2D engine in C++ utilizing OpenGL for (hardware-accelerated) graphics.
If you couldn't tell, yeah, I'm a programming geek.
Other than that, I'm very much into politics and I've posted a few times on the blog.
So this is more or less just rambling, just an attempt to introduce myself. I hope to get to know you all, and maybe even put together a community game project, relating to politics.
Who knows?
