When I picked up my son from middle-school yesterday, i saw that across the street, posted on all 4 corners were some older men handing out orange books. They were bibles, or exerpts from the bible.
I was infuriated that these men felt it was fine for them to hand underaged children literature of any kind with out any permission from parents. If it was ok to hand out bibles what about someone showing up tomorrow with orange books with something else in it? Shouldnt our kids know to never take anything from a stranger?
The school security did nothing, so I called the police! Yep...then I told the old guys that what they were doing was dangerous and they should have thought it through.
I am a christian, but I would NEVER force my ideology on a child. I wouldnt give them a birthday invitation for my kids without the parents permission. By law these men might have been in their rights*, but I still think it was careless.
*Im checking to see if theirs a law about how many feet from the school theyd have to be.
