Hi, my name is Shoehorn :)

I'm a 27 year old guy from Ireland, currently working in Dublin as a Senior QA localisation tester for Vivendi Games.

I enjoy my video games very much, my favourite titles being the Metroid series, the GTA series, the Zelda series, Monkey Island et al, and several FPS games. I've recently gained a liking for class based FPS games having played Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory at lunch time in work, as well as having enjoyed the recent Quake Wars Demo.

Working in the QA sector of the video game industry has done little to dampen my ardour for games. True, certain games have earned a their own little section of hatred in my mind for being awkward, but my love for excellent games never wanes.

Although I am not from America, I take a great interest in watching the developments of the court cases and attempted video game laws that take place there. Seeing as the UK and Ireland seemed to play "Monkey See, Monkey Do" with the Manhunt 2 issue with regards to banning/censorship, America seems to be the litmus test as to how games will be accepted by the general populace in any country.

I comment on most GP threads, unless my opinion or point has already been made, and I'm sure a lot of us have seen someone say exactly what we wanted to before we had a chance :)

I look forward to continuing to post, and perhaps contributing on the forums as well.
