OK, this topic spawned in another thread (which is seemingly spiraling out of control). I'm starting this thread hopefully to start a calmer and more rational discussion.
So, do you think it's right to celebrate someone's death? It's an interesting question for me. For me personally I find death to be a cop out for things as victory can only be achieved with a change of mind and not death. I understand the joy, I'm sure I'd feel a certain twang of happiness if certain people copped it but then I'd feel annoyed again as nothing would have changed.
I partially agree with both sides in the previous debate (though I didn't actually know who the person being talked about was!) as I do agree people should be happy that evil figures are no longer here but I also agree with the other side in that celebration of death is rather tacky and redundant.
What do you think?
