Good Grief, the world's longest Topic Title.
And it still doesn't adequately summarize the story.

I don't know if molesters are learning from each other or if they are learning new tactics from news reports about other molesters.
Remember the guy recently who posed as a boy, enrolled in schools, and molested boys?
And this story has some interesting aspects that are familiar.
Classic abuse victim. Afraid to tell. Got to the point she didn't care. Parents both working (not enough details along this line).
Child feels alone, isolated, and clings on to someone they happen to come across that appears to have something in common with them. The lady either lucked out with her story being just right, or she found out about this girl and got details that she built her story around. I'd lay down $50 that this kid has an online site/blog or visits a forum somewhere that she's shared her life in the public eye.
And, though we didn't hear a lot (I hear Theory? cheering) about the Parents in this article, I have to wonder how responsible they were for this. The woman/boy was allowed to move in? Nice of them to do such a thing for someone who appeared to not have a home, but VERY risky, especially when you have a child in the home.
