Definitely not a good idea to falsely claim the guy you're fooling around with raped you.
Especially after having left a sexually suggestive text message on the guy's phone.
Should the husband be charged with something, even if it isn't murder? Probably. Even it the accusation of rape were true, he took the law into his own hands. As with a great many individuals who take such action, the action may be understandable, but still not acceptable.
Since the false rape wasn't reported to police, she can't be charged with making a false allegation. But, still, there are so many cases of rape that go unreported because of the fear of not being believed, she should face something in regards to the false claim.
