Conservative think tank Tennessee Center for Policy Research pointed to Al Gore's home, with 191,000 KWh annual electricity usage, which is 12 times more than the average household, as proof of his hypocracy with regards to global warming.
Gore's staff responded that Gore's electrical bill includes investing in the generation of 194,000 KWh/year of "green" sources like solar, wind, and methane. His house is also being reno'd to cover the roof in solar panels. His staff accuse the critics of "missing the point" of global warming, in that electricity use is only linked if that energy comes from greenhouse-gas emiting electricity generation.
Thoughts? Is it ok to waste electricity as long as it comes from renewable resources instead of greenhouse-gas emiting ones?
