So I clone my old windows partition over to my new HDD using Ghost, after Ghost is done my PC restarts (for some stupid reason) and next thing I know the drive letters are all ****ed up, it's impossible for me to assign my new system disk to C: since if I disconnect my old primary disk the old storage disk (currently assigned to D:) takes the coveted C: position and windows refuses to boot completely (stalls out before able to pick a user). If I boot from the new HDD it gets to the pick a user screen just fine as long as yee olde windows partition HDD is in there as well, low and behold when I get into windows C is being used by that old fashioned windows partition, which although it is not the active partition, windows is apparently looking to it for the users directories or some such thing.
Any idea how to tell windows "assign this one C: if you really must"?
