I recently installed and played an oldy but goody, Silent Storm. For some reason, I started having flashbacks of watching two VERY long shows on t.v. I believe both were on PBS, one was on World War 2 and the other was on Vietnam.

The thing that was so special about this show was that it explained every day of the war (or at least every day of every battle) using a combination of footage, focused on strategy and tactics, and had a screen showing troop movement via a strategic map, much like we see with videogames today.

It's possible that it was a History Channel special or somesuch, but I'm hoping that it is in fact some massively huge and awesome DVD box set that I can buy.

Anyone know what series I'm thinking of? If so, let me know so I can go about purchasing these things. Thanks in advance.
