I really don't see this ending well at all. Usually, someone from such groups works up people in the surrounding area until they commit a vengeful act. Either assaulting or murdering the person involved or doing some form of property damage. This has a high chance of turning violent.
Maybe I'll be wrong. Hope so. But in cases like this, there are people who would actually stoop to falsely accusing people of acts they didn't do and justify such an act as "protecting real children".
Like it or not, all the stories that keep referring to Karr bring up Jon Bonet. But he didn't really commit that crime. And while there are plenty of claims of there having been evidence about child porn, the investigators weren't able to produce it. People can speculate all they want about what Karr -might- do. But then, would anyone else feel comfortable having the same said about them. Remember, it doesn't matter what you claim, it's what others living around you and talking about you, believe.
Would I trust him to teach my child? Frankly, I think the fact that he confessed to a crime he didn't commit brings question to his sanity all by itself. Otherwise, he's innocent until PROVEN guilty. I might be nervous and more cautious considering the probabilities. But I can't hold him guilty without evidence.
