She got a spider bite on her middle finger on her right hand over the weekend. She originally thought it was just a paper cut (she had been grading midterm portfolios) and didn't see a docter until two days later after the swelling had gotten worse. She now possibly faces getting part of her finger cut off (which is very detrimental for her since she is a writer). She'll find out what needs to be done over the weekend.
So just keep her in your thoughts.
