Sends back extra stuff for food drive because it will make the other kids feel bad. (http://www.torontosun.com/News/TorontoAndGTA/2006/12/23/2950340-sun.html)

As Picard would say in an image macro: WHAT THE **** IS THIS ****?
What's wrong with the school, these kids are going to have to learn this lesson at some time, be it in Boy/Girlscouts or when they get into a job where the pay is based on commission. Some people are winners who sell quite a bit, and the others are losers who make excuses about bake sales being racially biased etc.

It's a sad state when people care more about whether someone's been offended than if someone goes hungry.

Good to see the teacher has his/her priorities in order.

They said some kids couldn't afford to give anything.
I'd be sneaky. I'd give my extra donations to the kids who didn't have anything to give and have them give that. That way they, too, could feel good about giving and the food would still be donated.
The school sponsors -a- kid in South Africa? Cheap arses. It may be understandable for an individual to sponsor 1 other individual. But an organization, even if it's a school, should be sponsoring more than 1 individual. 10 at least if they're actually going to do something other than lip service.

Sounds like whoever they give the food to is gonna be the richest person in....wait a minute? South Africa? Might as well sponsor a kid from West Virginia. Then send em books about MLK.

I'm not so sure the food drive was for the kid in South Africa. They may have been just describing a seperate sponsorship.

I think a teacher has in inferiority complex...really we need to do more psychological profiling on teachers... oh wait we can't because we can't afford to lose any teachers we have.

Pfft, that teacher is a moron. He/She suffers from an inferiority complex, no doubt about that.
