I read that and it just completely trashed it for me. Seriously, wasn't this country founded on an ideal of freedom of beliefs. Why is it ok for religous folks to go door to door pressing their religion on me BUT heavan forbid you wish anyone a merry christmas or happy hanukka (sp?) Where dept stores and airports cant display one holiday for fear of alienating another's?
When did american society in general become a bunch of pansy self rightous need to be hand held little babies?
Seriously, in our society we can sue McDonalds to the point wear i cant get it supersized. Cartoon characters on cereal boxes are the devil. When did we become this screwed up?

The "traditional" christmas never existed. It was made up in books and people glommed onto it.

I gathered two things from this article:
1) The mom probably wants money. I doubt the kid even cares.
2) That bus driver looks a lot like Santa.
Seriously, people on both sides of the issue need to get the sticks out of their asses.

Welcome to late 1980s-early 1990s! Watch your step as the Reaganomics are falling apart with George Bush Senior and Clinton is making a bid with his Third Way politics.
Political correctness was just introduced and people are starting to think getting fat on unhealthy food just MIGHT not be good for you.
For the cartoon thing: It always was like that. Don't worry, people are naturally retarded.
Also: Santa is an AWESOME bus driver.
Theory?

What a litigious society we live in.

At least with him as a bus driver, it would be easier for parents to convince their younger children to behave. Remember, Santa Claus is watching you. He has a +20 to Search, Spot, Listen, and Sense Motive.

lol that made me laugh. Just frustrated. Seems like 90% of the population of the US has decided they need the govt. to run their lives. Tell them what is good and what is bad. From everything to what video game is ok for my kids to how to raise them. Just seems to me when I was a kid my parents knew automatically or educated themselves on things. I could never see anything over pg-13 unless they saw it first till I was older.
Just feels like as a society the US is becoming drones. I know mob mentalitiy has always been there just feels like the past few years it's become worst. Maybe I'm just getting older and starting to take notice of the bigger picture at hand.

Don't worry, Wrenchy (I can call you Wrenchy, right? Right.) people are naturally mob animals that follow the strongest leader they can meet (which is one of the reason true communism and anarchism is hardly feasible), but some people, who are now labelled "Liberals" by the government, are trying to give people more and more options of WHO to follow.

Yeah that festive artifact set he has give him some great buffs, don't forget about the crystal ball of scrying he has back at the north pole. I mean that hat alone is enough to see if your naughty and nice, the rest of the suit is just to ensure he makes a successful check vs. bluffs.
"What happened to christmas?"
Well ya' see, the Secular Progressives (SPs) in this country (mostly in San Francisco, New York, etc.) want to destroy our family values. You can learn all about it in my new book "Culture Dumbass".

The combination of a stolen holiday with traditions that originally were only in fictitious books and given a religious meaning came in contact with uber-PC nuts who think that anything that doesn't fit in their worldview offends somebody.

saying that the child doesn't believe in Santa Claus and was bothered by the hat.
I read this as :
I'm anal retentive and need to complain about something, and like to foister things off as my child is upset. :D
