Ok, so, I recently got my hands on a nice 23 flatpanel HD widescreen TV, for under 400 bucks to boot.

So, i'm doing some fancy gaming to test it out. I must say, i'm impressed. I was worried wide screen would mess up the visual appearance of my games but instead, it makes it sharper, clearer, and more vibrant then ever when need be.

But anyway onto the games. Smackdown rules, since it's more or less the perfect mix between wrestling and presentation. While people who aren't fans of wrestling might not get into it, fans of fighting games and wrestling games will find it dynamic and engaging and will also find the new enviromental moves, direct control of certain moves, and the vast array of Create a wreslter options.

Fear of course, is a game that belongs in every action and horror fans library. Perfectly balanced between the absolute fear factor and intense combat action, the game still holds my spot as "Shooter of the year"

On the other hand, Marvel Ultimate Alliance is perhaps the best CO OP multiplayer game ever made. Sure, single player is fun and a great test of your tactical and managment skills, but multiplayer is where the game really gets going. With 2,3,and especially 4 people, it's absolute chaos and a blast to play.

Finally, Call od Duty 3 earns the title of "Best WW2 shooter ever. No can we PLEASE HAVE ANOTHER GENRE" It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but enough is enough. Shooters need to start getting creative. WW2 is only so exciting after it's been done 300 times.

So, thats what I'm playing.:D

FEAR managed the feat of making me feel safe when there are enemies in the room.

Yeah, I felt much better fighting of the solders, tough as they were, then I did when alma was playing her little mind games with me!.

Anyone played the Extraction point expansion?

Is Ultimate Alliance any different to the X-Men Legends games? I found those really really tedious and annoying to play but Ultimate Alliance tempts me with multiple characters and the sinister form of Dr Doom. I just don't want to get it and then find out its just a next gen version of the Legend games.

It's a little more of the same, with some nice additions. You can make your own super-team with it's own buffs and such. The character models are still quite fugly on current gen systems, as are the stages. But there's a lot better level design, and the leveling system isn't as tedious. If you ever wanted a Fantastic Four RPG, this is as close as you'll get.

Hmmm, sounds like a rental rather then a purchase...

I'm still debating whether to get F.E.A.R. I love shooters and horror games, but it isn't like a don't have enough shooters already. Plus, I'm not sure if my computer can handle it.

Well, these questions may seem strange, but just go with it...

1.Did you like any of those CGI horrors with creepy girls lately?
2. Did you enjoy The Matrix?
3. Do generic buildings piss you off?
4. Do you enjoy kicking people and/or ghosts in the face?
5. Do you have a bazillion dollars for a computer to run this?

They were really adapt at making almost every level look the same. But yeah, it's so scary T_T

I played X-Men Legends 2 for 5min and changed to another game is was painful,I dont recall X-Men Legends 1 being that bad....

F.E.A.R is a great game
Pros
Melee attacks
Well layed out levels
AI when it wants to be evil
"FEAR FACTOR"
Story
Characters

Cons
defeat the same 7 or so enimes throughout 5-8 hours worth of game
5 or 7 weapons
AI when it wants to be stupid
Repetitiveness desu

I am a FPS nazi and I call this a A class game at worst a A- or B+++ because of the repetitiveness that hurts the game most theres a few polish points that could make the game better but in all,get the game and enjoy it :P

its like Half life minus the monsters and 5X the story/setting you have 7 or so weapons some melee attacks (jump kicks without changing weapons oh my) and alot of game to cover.

RTCW has some creative weapons in it add more weapons of the time and give them more fictional specs and such maybe even make a "game" out of it instead of a movie clone where everything is the same no matter whitch game you pick 0-o

I have always been aware to much reality can kill games but sheesh its 10X on WW2 games >< it also stagnates the creativity some going overboard on realisim...
