Move this to an appropriate Forum mods, can't tell which one it belongs in, Thanks.

Got work to do now, so can't do much, but thought you folks would like to see it.

Thanks mod. I -thought- this was the right one, but wasn't fully sure.

Anyway, the author of the article felt pretty neutral in their reporting. Although they didn't seem to counter that argument that the ESA has something to gain with their studies but the research group doesn't.

Not all gains are financial, after all. Which is part of what I wrote in my comment on their discussion board.

The article brings up a a very important point: This study tells us nothing about the duration of these effects. Okay, a violent video game makes a kid feel more aggressive while he's playing it. Not that surprising. Football has the same effect. Does this heightened aggression a long-term effect? Does it go away after a good night sleep? Does it fade within half an hour after play ceases? Does it stop the moment he puts down the controller?
We don't know, because no one seems to bother asking these questions!

The reporter also wins points in my book for bringing up the question of violent movies and television.

So, why is everyone picking on video games? Probably because there’s a much smaller body of research on video games. They just haven’t been around as long as TV and movies, so the potential effects on children are a bigger unknown. That’s a scary thing for a parent.
:)

About the picture. Does that seem to imply that you don't also use the other areas of the brain while playing violent game?

Well, you use different parts of the brain while doing different things, like doing algebra, playing madden, writing haiku, closing threads that dare mention hentai, etc.

does this mean that this message is getting locked because of your mentioning of the thing that is mentioned but shouldn't be mentioned in a way of mentioning it?

On a side note, i play violent games, and after a while i begin to think of the most violent and brutal...

Tounge twisters! My favorite right now is Which witch witches which witches?

You hurt my brain twice in one post. Obviously you are a sadistic individual.

Well you know the saying the pen is mighter then the sword, and if a pictures is worth a thousand words, I can kill you faster with a video then a sword. And with less legal complications too :)
