IS there anyway for GP to implement a better Anti spammer filter? I mean the same post in mutli forms should be dealt with at least for new members?
Better varifacation or something?

P.S I would be perfectly down with being spammed if it was a chinese gold farmer. Their engrish is Amusing.

Yes, especially today. I always get suspicious when I see almost all the threads with the same name on the newest post, and this new one, "Tiffa Lockhart" pissed me off. I guess they figured to name it that as gamers wouldn't associate with anything else and all are male.

While image verification is on, this usually doesn't stop them.

The best thing is to make a costumized verification system, since nobody's gonna go tweak these bots just for GP.

This includes hidden fields that autoban you if you fill them out (since humans can't see them), toa text you must copypasta into a field (a bot won't know what this field is for, especially if we give it a field name it doesn't recognize).

I've just banned an entire range of IPs being used by the oloot.com crowd.

Should help. I do like the plasma cannon idea, tho...

Yes, we should implement plasma cannons to blast spammers. Unless their gold farmers, in which case we laugh at their engrish.

Range bans should work for this breed of bots, but obviously they'll just go "hai guys" on another range.

Remember guys if you see a spammer, report the post or if it's in a PM, the User, so we Mods can act quickly and use the ban hammer on them. I can't remember but if you can't report a user from a PM, then Forward the PM to more than one mod just in case one of us isn't looking at their email.
