I seem to have happened upon some interesting information that may make things make a bit more sense/make them a bit easier to get ahold of. Or not. Either way.
Basically, from what I've heard, GameStop's and EB's are getting Wii's in pretty much every day. But they're all being stockpiled in the back, because corporate won't let them sell any until Friday, under threat of being fired.
Now, why would that be? While I'm not sure of an official reason, I'd think it'd have a bit to do with getting demand up higher. If people knew that more were coming in every day, there wouldn't be so much demand. But with the employees telling people that ask that more might be coming in in about a week, or to check back Friday or so, gets people more worked up. Just look at me.
Another reason... BLACK FRIDAY. Everyone and their moms (literally) are going to be out trying to find random things to purchase on a whim that may or may not be on sale. Therefore, craploads of people will be in there on Friday, just because of that day, not even to get Wii's. And with more magically on sale, it'll be like another launch day.
And I wouldn't be surprised if they were doing something similar with PS3's, cause I know that the store where the guy works that I got the info from got 2 PS3's in today. They likely aren't gonna be out on the floor until Friday, either.
But yeah. Pretty much... Don't even bother checking a GameStop or EB until Friday, cause I can garuntee they won't have them.
Oh. And I hope this isn't breaking rules at all... If it is, feel free to delete and PM me about it, to keep similar things from happening in the footure. Mkay?
