Believe it or not, this ain't the Devin Moore case. But it doesn't feel far from any number of video game wrongful death cases. It just doesn't include video games.

The kid's parents are being sued.
The gun retailer is being sued.
And the online support group is being sued.

If it weren't for the gun retailer being sued, I'd almost expect you-know-who to be the person filing this suit.

Seriously, this is going to be a hard case to prove, even if it is a civil case.

I can possibly see the case for suing the parents (even if it is shaky).

The other two not so much...

Only problem is the guy is 19, the parents legally have no responsiblity for his actions. The website is not at fault for his actions because nowhere on the site did them tell him to do this. And the gun store owner didn't know the guy was going to blow away a few people. Honestly this just looks like a case of "Covering our sadness with money" Hopefully the judge will dismiss this on the count of the guy was a grown man, parents are no longer responsible for his actions, neither is the web site or gun store.

Technically though if the guy was mentally incompetent and on medication he could be considered under his parents care and under their legal responsibility.

Not saying I agree with the lawsuit, I think its another symptom of our litigious society.

but the Mental Illness he supposedly(don't know if he had it or if the media says so because he posted on a site for it) had does not make it hard to justify right from wrong, people with Asburges are very ****ing intelligent. Yeah they don't like to be around alot of people and can be a little xenophobic at times but to blame it on this is ****ing insane. And I agree, just looks like the family wants to cover their wounds with money and make the guys family suffer for his actions.

Oh I agree with you, I am just pointing out where the lawyers are going with this. If the guy was mentally incompetent in one way, and on medication he obliviously couldn't be found guilty by reason of insanity. Thus someone else must have been responsible.
