With all the news surrounding the launch of the PS3, the Wii is already being left out in the cold. Apparently, no one cares about the rather orderly launch of the Wii, when they can make news about how the PS3 was the sole cause of violence on friday. So, for all the people who want to give Nintendo the recognition they deserve, Happy Wii Day everyone.
Why do I feel that by buying Zelda, but not a Wii, I've eternally pissed someone off who wanted it but couldn't get it?

So long as it isn't the Zelda that I'm theoretically buying after work today, everything'll be fine ;)
But yeah. I'm thinking of going out on a little search today after I get off of work (2:30 p.m., so not too late, thankfully) for a Wii. Of course, I really doubt I'll be finding one, but I'd kinda like to, considering it's a lot more within my price range than I PS3 was, and also quite possibly a bit easier to find, maybe. Hopefully. Cause I would like to play Zelda. Especially since this one looks to be slightly reminiscent of Shadow of the Colossus, with it's large areas to roam on horseback and such. Oh, and Super Smash Brothers. I'm waiting to play as Snake. Cause, you know, Snake couldn't loose. He'd sneak up on frickin Mario and snap his neck. Game over for Mario.
But yeah. Sooooo... Wish me luck, folkseses?
My sources say more than 450.000 Wiis have now been sold.

What was the total production number?

The Wii has been in production since September, if I recall.

That means nothing to me. For all I know they could have produced 8 units since September. I need numbers man, concrete numbers!

Then I have no clue whatsoever. It must be pretty sizable, or we'd be getting reports of people not getting their Wiis

I voted for the Wii. It has 50% of the votes too. This is too good.
Problem is, check out the reviews at Gamespot.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 8.8
Madden NFL 07 - 8.4
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - 8.3
Rayman Raving Rabbids - 8.0
Trauma Center: Second Opinion - 8.0
Wii Sports - 7.8
Call of Duty 3 - 7.2 (8.8 on the 360 8.2 on the PS3)
Excite Truck - 6.8
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - 6.0
Red Steel - 5.5
Rampage: Total Destruction - 5.1
GT Pro Series - 5.1
Then again, I have yet to see a truly successful launch like the N64. On that note, Mario 64 is a launch title on the Virtual Console. Bonus points for that!

Gamespot is probably the ONLY site out there that I actually trust because I know they aren't a bunch of crackpot losers (http://www.ign.com) or psychotic theives (http://www.gamespy.com). Their reviews make sense, the number system makes sense, its a good site.

Eurogamer (http://www.eurogamer.net/) is good, if you're willing to wait for European releases before you get your reviews.
Also, via the geekiest webcomic in existance:

Yaknow, I'm starting to wonder how the 18 year old running NexGen (or GoldFire Studios) gets national sales data....
My brother and I went out to buy a Wii...
Last night...
Expecting to find one...
