Sheer Dumb Luck Stories

Have you ever had an experience when buying a game that seemed like the only reason you got the game was through sheer dumb luck? If you have, feel free to share them, or comment on other people's stories of sheer dumb luck. I've got a couple to share myself.

1. After 2 days of shipping errors, the new Yugioh GX game for the PSP came out (as well as everything else meant to be on sale on Wednesday). Anyway, the local EB opens at around 10, and when I called to see if they had it in, they said that every copy of the game had been sold, within 2 hours of them opening! To think, the only reason I got it on preorder was because I wanted to guarantee getting the promo cards.

2. This one's just weird. After telling myself I'll get a wii sometime after launch day, I walk into a Blockbuster store to pick up a Wii game so I can wait out getting it, and I ask the manager if they were all sold out of Zelda games. He said that they dont go on sale until sunday, but he also only had ONE left that hadn't been preordered or reserved, or whatever. So, I have it put off to the side for me.

This is more for a system than a game. I had gotten a sued Nitnendo DS form Gamestop, and a few weeks later, the upper screen went kaput, the thing was beat up and worn out, so I can understand this. I take it to the very store I got it at, and I don't have a reciept, I talk to the manager and he is very willing to honor my warranty even with no reciept, but there was none in at the time, so I went home ,and called back in later that week, I did, and they had one in blue in stock finally, so I went the next day to get it, and the DS I get is in brand spankin new condition, complete with a brand new stylus. It looks feels and plays like it's brand new, and used. Oh yes, that was a good day.

when I was 3 almsot died from allergic reaction to pennsilain,befor that I had my lower bowls drop

in 95 or 94 went to 4 ERs trying to find out what was givieng me pain reason it was 4 was becuse 3 of them thought I wanted pain meds...fckers...the last one did a blood test WBC was 22K my gal bladder was messed up when I finally got to my room it busted I was in the hospital for a week becuse of the infection.

In 97 or 98 I tried to kill myself over stress and crap

in 05 mom the familys "caretaker" was found to have canser and the hosue was condemned because of mold,a leak in the roof,sicne all our money was going to dads meds we lost power in 04,when tenn care decided to drop him,3 weeks in a roach motel then oved to public housing mom died 3 months in public hosueing befor of the cnaser,dad died 9 months later in December,all this time at any time the goverment could ahve came in and put dad and me into "homes".

Now Socail securtiy has "FOUND" me needs to put me with a rep payee and sicne I live with people that have money my grandmother and her sis of 90 soemthign years old that live on there old fram I am going to be revalued and get a drop in pay because both have more than 10G in the bank and the famr is worth 100G and they get jsut enough from SS and the army pensions to keep out of thier savings and when anything needs to be fixed or they go into the hospital they bleed money in the thousands (out of pokect for 50% of a weeks hospital stay+ meds) teh...I love fcking red tape...I have that WTF am I alive feeling again >>
