Well, now that GP forums are reopen, I'd like to see the "Games & the Media" sub-forum back, in order to talk about past and present media columns, reports and campagins about anything that concerns videogames.

Plus, I suggest a new forum called "Video Game Debate". We already have a place to talk about politicians and personalities, but I'd also like to have a specific place to talk about arguments : the relationship betwen games and violence, are games an art, what does "anti-game" mean, etc...

We actually have a Video Game Debate category, which we all know and love as 'The Games'.

The issues you mention usually prop up in a thread about a politician or law. Perhaps to invoke direct discussion about these laws is favourable, but don't expect a new forum soon, as Dennis seems to be incredibly busy. And he is the only one who could make this a reality.

Performing thread necromancy once again....

I came up with an idea on the old forum about a Creative Writing forum.

For example, writing columns for a chance to write a guest column for the main page(which could be once a month for example) or columns that have nothing to do with games or politics.

"video game debate" is broken into 4 categories
Games with Political Themes
Politicians & Personalities
Video Game Legislation

with anything left over to
General Games Talk
--------------------------------------

with that said its a bit of a mess I would do this to fix it

Wii or PS3 ??? changes to PS3/WII/360
------------------------------
Remove Serious Games (uneeded unused can be better fit with other things)
------------------------------------------
Games with Political Themes to
Video game Debate (Art,politics,themes,Serious Games)
---------------------------
Change
What Are You Playing?
WoW? Madden? What do you WISH you were playing...?
to
What Are You Playing?
What are you playing/what do you want to play?
------------------------------------

Game Developers Talk
this forum should be for "REAL" game devs not moders or hobbyist coders
it also should be used to debate issues with Devs.

-------------------------------
Everything Else
Needs a Anime thread
Needs a Modder/Coder thread
--------------------------------

Give me these and I can better place my posts.

Games & Media
...the place to talk about how the media covers the game scene. Mainstream, gaming press, game blogs, it all goes here.

This would be for gaming in the media stuff but dose not help with the art/debate side of it

Serious Games is the lest used thread so it could be updated to

Serious Games & Debate
"Art",themes, politics and games that focus on Serious real life issues.

Politics in this thread would focus on how "they" see a game, art would be the artistic value of a game, themes would be focusing on games like god of war and postal 2 debate about what are the limits on gaming and such and finally Serious games would focus on real world issues via gaming

Now,if you must have Serious Games as its own thread

Video game debate ("Art",Themes,politics)
Games with political themes,Are games art?Debate art, themes and politics.
