A couple idiots start fighting over a basketball in Chuck E Cheese's, now a guy wants the place shut down. Nice, because, you know ,the parents can;t possibly have stopped this.

"Around the same time, restaurant security began carrying guns, Zielinski said."

Ok, that's bad. But NOT as bad as this:
"...said he will ask to have the Chuck E. Cheese's liquor license pulled when the city licensing committee meets in January."

It is EXTREMELY rare that I actually resort to using the term "WTF!"
This is one of those times.
WTF!!!
Since when did Chuck E. Cheese sell alcohol????

I didn't think they did at the one here in Wilmington, NC.

That's really screwy.

Yeah maybe it's us southern boys but I don't equate Chuck E. Cheese with an alcohol license either. (although thinking about it, most parents who go there do want a stiff drink afterwards :D )

Nor do I see teens in it. I am thinking the solution for this town is 2 fold:
1) Discipline kids
2) some form of entertainment for adults and teens other than Chuck E. Cheese.

I've seen a FEW teens playing the video game arcade machines when I've been. But it's mostly the smaller kids (under 8 years old) and the pre-teens who play at the one here in Wilmington.

It can be a very noisy and crowded place at times. We haven't been in a couple of years, but still, I haven't heard of any crimes being commited there. At the one here, the security guards don't need guns. But there are times when the adults look like their kids and the other kids could use muzzles and a few good well placed whip strikes. :)

I have a question. Who the **** still goes to that crap hole Chuck E. Cheese? I mean other than the parents looking to abandon their kids in the urine soaked ball pit while they run away to start new lives with their new boyfriend/girlfriend.

Despite the noise and confusion, it is a fairly decent place to take a child for both play time and lunch.

There aren't many kids that I would invite to a birthday party with my son. But take him to Chuck E. Cheese and he can play with a bunch of kids. The safety factor puts it about as safe as going to Jungle Rapids and playing with unfamiliar kids there in the kids gym. And the pizza is fairly decent, not to mention something my son likes a lot.

I haven't heard of any complains about any of the gym areas being unclean down here. And as many kids as I've seen playing in the gym, I would think some parent would complain if there was a serious problem.

But ya really gotta be able to put with the noise for at least an hour and a half or even more to get your money's worth there.
