One Week until Next Gen

With the launch of the Wii and the PS3 in a week, who do you think will come out on top. Will it be PS3's "well, people will buy it because it's the cheap way to get a Blu Ray player", or will it be the Wii's innovative gameplay but weird streak of choices in making it? What are your opinions?

Wow, this reminds me that I couldn't preorder one and I'll have absolutely no chance to stand outside in the freezing cold on release date. *sniff*
Both will probaly do good, PS3 has a good number of fanboys and the rich kid factor, Wii will appeal to more people but Sony won't lose that much.

I think Nintendo has a good chance to get back in the fight with the Wii, they've got everyone's attention with a unique system (Which is quite the turn around given how much it was initally dismissed by the public) while the compition seems to be tripping over itself somewhat. Could they take first place? I can't say for sure, but it'll probably do a lot better than the Gamecube did.

On the other hand, while I don't think the PS3 is outright doomed, a $600 pricetag and a delayed European release isn't exactly helping. I think, even if they do manage to hold first place, it's going to be a much closer race then what the PS2 had.

Overall, I think Nintendo will do better and Sony worce, what happens from there depends on how good/bad it gets for either side.

I'm waiting for a price-cut for the PS3 and a new problemless version and some game that interest me (if FFXIII or White Knight Story or Devil May Cry 4 come out before a price-cut...I'm screwed).

I'm waiting for more interesting games to come out for the Wii, or a price-cut so I can also play some old GCN games.

And I'm still waiting for a 360 price-cut (I heard they're release a new model, so that's done.). They have some games out I want to play (Enchanted Arms and Kameo and Marvel: Ulitmate Alliance).

Though, right now, I just want to finish my PS2/XBox games backlog...

Actually, that coudl be good for you, since by extension those games iwll be cheaper by the tine you get a PS3.

I'll get a PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy 13, and whatever else good comes out for it, but I'm going for the Wii first and foremost. The Xbox 360 is next on my list because of Fable 2 and Banjo Kazooie 3.
