Can't get there... wife is working, doing her Florence Nightingale thing, and I'm on kid-care duty...

If it's in Hobart I'll cover it.
Anywhere outside the crappy little island at the bottom of Australia though and I don't think I'll be able to make it...

It will probably be in hoboken new jersey, or saskatchuan.

Sony make me cry.
"Guess what guys? We're delaying the launch globally now!"

I would actually not be surprised. I'm already telling customers to expect the PS3 in April or May.

If they say they're doing a global delay of the system, it will be the final nail in the PS3s coffin. When the only good thing you have going for your system is that it's region free, you KNOW there's no way they're going to live long.
They flat out SAY they have problems making the thing. I think if Sony has to choose between a more catastrophic version of the initial 360 launch or a world-wide delay, the delay is less bad (for them)
So I'm pretty much expecting this.

Delay is not that bad, really, as it means some people might actually gather the mollah to actually buy the damn thing at release.
Region-free IS a huge asset for the PS3, as it's one of the driving reason as to why I'd get one. Along with the fact there might actually be good games on the PS3, as opposed to the Boite en X qui fait des 360.

Ditto. Plus, if the allegations of the TGS PS3 malfunctions are true, it'll give Sony time to fix it rather then release a faulty product just to make the holiday season *cough*.

Well if you're going to San Francisco, make sure to wear a flower in your hair. Cause when you go to San Francisco you're sure to meet some gentle people there. And some of them are bound to be allergic to flowers.
