Ya know both parties are broken both are lost so dont vote Red(rep) Blue(dem) or Ind(pruple) vote non of the above if thats a option which in most cases its not,vote Green lib or even constitutional but for the love of whats left of our government don't support the broken parties of 1 hydra!

A 3rd party will have a high chance to fix it than the 2 "let us continue" parties of BS.

I am now totally convinced of this,dose anyone else understand why voteing for the lesser evil is a complete oxymoronical paradox!

The two main parties we have now are so ****ed up. When problems arise all they do is blame each other. Instead of actually trying to fix it. They care more about pinning problems on the opposite party and getting into office more than anything else.

No da,the corperations are also a huge problem all that "free" money roaming around,we need to just kill ALL private money in all elections have it all handled by a commission of 40% dem 40% rep and 20% other and have thier wages decreed or fines laid if they dont get done whats on the planner.....also all ads on TV/dead debats and other thigns no effected ,they could b repalced with get out the vote,and each candidates gets to run 1 or 2 adds based on facts alone,of coarse this is probly illsect....sigh

If preventing private money getting into indavenaul campaigns is against the constitution ,then how about a separation of goverment and corporation?

basically making lobbisim as we know it dead.

A non vote is still a vote. Apoliticism is still a political stance. Never forget that.

Let's see why you're voting for if you vote for a third party:

Greens = Democrat
Libertarians = When the dust following the inevitable in-party fight to the death settles, the Libertarians who brought guns give the vote to the Republicans.
Independant = Ralph ****ing Nader

Indapendant is about as indapendat as congressmen from the corporate tit.

the funny thing about a 3rd party it will make the other 2 change some,so in the end that alone is worth it.

If I don't vote, then that gives SOMEONE an advantage knowing that had I voted I would have voted for someone else. By not voting I'm taking my vote away from that party. However, I simply do it to express my dissatisfaction with the two party system, which is why I vote for myself when I vote.

I am going to take a page out of Theory?'s book. I am going to vote for myself, I mean hell why not. Not like my vote matters anyway, so if I am going to throw it away might as well be for someone I know isn't corrupt ^^.

That's the spirit.

One vote under our system doesn't really make a difference. However, under other systems of democracy, it very well may.

Did you know, Hitler was elected to be the candidate for his party by ONE VOTE! Which really means he won with two votes because if you take away the lead vote, it was a tie.

It's too bad I don't live in Texas, or I'd vote for Kinky Friedman (http://www.kinkyfriedman.com/). Why can't we have an entertaining politician like him where I live? [/whine]

Now now. Not voting is just as bad, if not worse, than voting. Why? Cause eveyone knows that all the idiots that know nothing about politics or the good of the country will be out in mass voting. They always do. Therefore we need to couteract that.

Unfortunately, spreading votes thin among third parties will do no good, cause the people that shouldn't be in charge will still get more votes. Even if more people voted for third parties than, say, republicans, the republicans would still win, because there are many third parties to have votes spread among. So while third parties may altogether get more votes (which I can garuntee you right now will not happen), the main parties would still win, because they are just one party, getting more votes.

If that made sense.

Too true. I know an idiot who, upon receiving his ballot, goes down the list voting for every Democrat and then marks "Yes" on every proposition/measure. Without reading them. Without studying up and finding out what each candidate/proposition is about. Without following politics or the news whatsoever. It's sickening.

Anyway, I definitely agree. The more disgusted you are with politics, the more important it is that you go and vote. Even if its a third-party candidate, or you write in someone you know, at least go and vote. Apathy does nothing but maintain the status quo.

Let me try and explain this again.....no matter who they are any dem/rep who would want to fix the system or have any brains on any issue will be over ridden by the many thus making that person pointless,not even a group of them have any leeway against their "leaders",If enough 3rd party not including inds are chosen ,then the system HAS to stand up and take notice that it has some problems.....
