This is a problem with my DS. I dropped the thing recently, and now the upper screen is like solid white save for a black line and a very, very ghosted image of what it would normally show, and the bottom screen is just, well, black, I can't see anything on it.

You'd probably have to get a new one. Is it a DS Lite?

Sure sign the LCD is gone, a new DS is probably going to be less expensive than the LCD.

Well, I already planned to run up to Gamestop to get it replaced, I just hope the warranty is still good. I let it sit overnight, and now the touchscreen is working, but the top screen, eh, it's out.

Relax. My Ds nailed a toolbox as it fell and it took the shot right in the back of the upper part, was a freak accident.
