Hello ECA Admins,

For some bizarre reason i received yesterday August 14th this email.

At first i'd thought it was a "Phishing Scam".

Dear ECA members,

Please take a moment to make sure your password and log in (******) is working.

If it's not working, or you forget your log in please use the following password (*****) to access your ECA membership. Once you have logged in you can now change your password to whatever you like.

Then i realized the login details were accurately mine for the ECA main site. (i have since changed the password)

This email came from: info@theeca.com

So what's going on?

Thanks for a response.

It's looks OK, since it has the member information, but it still smells phishy. I've sent an email to the proper tech support team concerning this.

I got the email but didn't think anything of it. I saw that the email log in and password were correct for me.

I think they may have been updating their site and had some changes to the way people log in or something. That is the only real explaination for sending out these mass emails.

I have been told that changes to the site were coming, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for posting about your concern over the email that was sent out. We've had some members who have been having issues logging into their ECA accounts. We decided it was best to send a reminder to everyone on how they can log in. This was a legit email and not a phishing scam. Thanks!
