Has anyone ever seen or read Hellsing, in it's various incarnations? I have read some of the manga, A scanlation of The Dawn(first two chapters), The whole T.V series via Youtube, and some of the OVA via youtube.(Spanish dub of part two.)

I have a question, regarding the Valentine brothers raid on the Hellsing mansion. from the looks of it, Hellsing got preety pwned, and almost a thrid of the hellsing soldiers(the boys in green) got overwhelmed and killed. BUT WHY THE HELL DID INTEGRA WAIT SO LONG TO BRING OUT THE BIG GUNS!? If i were her, i would have moved up ALL the soldiers, in addition to Alucard, Seras, and Walter, to the front of the mansion as soon as the enemy started breaking through. And fought them with the following strategy.

Alucard>Jan and Luke. I know he can take on both of them. He's a Friggin mary sue, for god sakes.

Seras, Walter, Hellsing soldiers>The "Tour bus" ghouls. Walter and Seras easily pwned the ghouls, and the although they had on Body armour in addition to sheilds(according to the O.V.A) they would die if shot in the head.

If Integra cares so much about her soldiers(she showed remorse at having to kill the ghoulified ones) then why did she all put them out as nearly useless cannon fodder? BLEH.

Also, are ghouls smart enough to put on fatigues and body armour by themselves? I have an unsettling image of the brothers having to strip down and dress the ghouls themselves.:eek:

I'm going to end this post before i force everyone to scroll down for all eternity, but judging by the subject and all the links, i predict this thread going on for a longggg time.

I have the first six eps on DVD and that includes the ep your talking about. It has been a while since I watched them, but if I remember, a lot of the ghouls the brothers used in the mansion were Hellsing soldiers that they killed. Your right though, Alucard, Seras, and Walter should have been able to stop it pretty quickly if put out in front. Integra, I guess, would have still stayed where she was at to guard the rest of the Round Table.

There might have been less ghouls then Hellsing soldiers.....judging by the O.V.A(remember, we're leafing through diffrent adaptions) Jan seems to have about 40 following him around. Maybe a couple more. But it's stated that there are about 120something personel there. The ghouls have body armour and sheilds, plus their natural ghoul resilience, and...their in tight hallways, so it's a bit hard to get past their sheilds. Plus, they have two awesome vampires on their side.
EDIT:Sorry, i din't read your post right. Yea, Jan did rise Soldiers up as Ghouls, but he brought them out at the end as a Demoralizing trump card. In actuality though, they are even weaker then the S.W.A.Tlike tour bus ghouls that Seras and walter so easily wasted. They din't have any guns, and lacked heavy armour. The reason he used them is to make the heroes freak out because they have to kill their own friends.

But really, Integra could have handled that better. Maybe she din't have the time to react, but if i were her, and had been notified sooner..... i would have the the Hellsing troops take headshots at the ghouls from the windows of the mansion, maybe with a Harkonen-wielding seras on the roof. Alucard and Walter could attack from the front or, Hell, if they had been hired sooner...have the Wild geese follow the tour bus and pop out from behind. If there's any kind of artillery, why NOT JUST USE IT ON THE TOUR BUS OFF THE BAT, and then just have everyone swarm the brothers?

Okay, i'm fantizising. But against that kind of enemy, the Guards were nearly useless. (Can they even fight FREAKS? why does she hire human soldiers if all they can do is fight ghouls? Not to say i don't like the guys, their like like the Halo Marines of Hellsing.) I find it ridiculous that she held back her three strongest people until the brothers had routed all of the soldiers. then again......

Maybe the author did that on purpose, just to show killing and how dadgum evil and powerful vamps are.

@King nintendoid-Sammuel jackson may prove somewhat effective against the Valentine brothers and their ghoul army....But integra would probably keep him with Alucard,Walter, and Seras playing monopoly in the basement until 90% of the mansion is dead.

Yes, Jan valentine(the brother who has all the piercings and acts like a gangsta) storms the room. In the anime, she uses the microphone to radio integra and the collection of twelve, and goes on this whole rant,calling her a whore and whatnot and telling them to piss themselves, and in the O.V.A,they see him on a screen. He flips them off, and then pokes the eye out of a decapitated guard's head. On camera.

A. In the anime, they were transformed from humans via the FREAK chip. Artificial vampires are apparently weaker then True ones, though still not the be trifiled with. The the Manga and O.V.A, the chips serve only to observe the vampire's surroundings. The methods of creating fake vamps in those adaptions remain a mystery.


A. Beyond the freak chip, How do vamps reproduce?
Unless a victim bitten by a vampire is a virgin of the oppisite sex(in which case they become another vampire) that person becomes a Ghoul. A ghoul is a Mindless-Zombie like creature under the vampire's control, Which eats human flesh and is capable of using human weapons, such as firearms.

Q. But according to The Dawn, Ghouls are botched attempts at making vampires! what's the story?

A. Hell, i don't know. ask the other guy.


Q. Where do real vampires come from?

A. I dunno, like a curse or something.

Q. Where do filler vampires come from?

Filler vampires are created when the directors of the anime want to differ from the manga. Incognito is first among them. Second is Helena, who is a half-filler vamp, and half-true vamp. Then we have Paul wilson, Mr. Elitist S.A.S kid who gets pwnt by seras, and fianlly, some other chick whoose name i forgot who bit integra in the boobie trying to turn her into a ghoul, and that about rounds it out. Oh, yea. then there are the 65 (66 counting Paul) S.A.S FREAKs. Of course, filler vamps have their advantages. (I actully think that the above characters are cool. but doesn't that apply to everyone in hellsing?)
