What exactly is a "childhood expert?" Yea for using vague terms to back up your argument.

Well, it's not worse than we're used to reading. I'd even say it's a bit "less bad", which isn't really a compliment.

What exactly is a "childhood expert."

Someone who is in their 80s, isn't a parent, and has a 1950s ways of looking at things?

I know that no one has posted here in a while but I'll do so anyway.

Througout the quotes of these ramblings on M rated games to children not once did I come across a quoted statement that came anywhere near to the description of a logical thought process.

"There is enough anecdotal evidence available linking violence among young people to the violence they are faced with in these games,"

Anecdotal evidence? It is as if they use words without knowing it's definition. An anecdote is either a short entertaining story about a real incident or person or an account regarded as unreliable.

I'm going with the second definition on this one. The 'evidence' spoken of probably is unreliable.

"We know it is having an impact on children's behavioural problems, the rates of depression and aggression."

Me play games. Now me is emo. Where are the -Blam!-'ed up references of these accusations coming from? Jack Thompsons wet dreams? Ok, I understand and accknowlege the posibility of a somewhat increased aggression but where does depression come in? And its not much of aggression either, just frustration during (keyword: during) gameplay if your doing poorly. Any act of violence thereafter is most likely genetic or from a born mental disorder.

"We know these violent MA 15+ games are getting into the hands of younger children through older siblings and friends, and they are being introduced to concepts well beyond their developmental capacity."

And game companies should be held responsible for that? Y'know if parents spent less time in their child awareness groups ranting about how the media is the fall and decline of civilzation then they could spend that exrta time being aware of their own children. Clean up you own damn closet before you poke around in others.

1. Well yeah, it's anecdotal evidence, since it's from an unreliable source.
2. EWWWWWWWWWW
3. Finally, someone who thinks it's not the kids themselves getting the games, but older relatives who get them FOR them.

Air is responsible for carrying sound waves containing concepts well beyond the developmental capacity of children.

IT MUST BE STOPPED
