I use to play it all the time.
I was semi-kinda-famous on a few servers for constructing a giant (sometimes invisible) rape ship with turrets and cargo holders. I'll upload a pic sometime but right now I'm too lazy.

GMod is probably the greatest modification there is. Many days I have wasted creating anti-Combine tanks made of shipping containers, SMG's, clock thrusters and APC wheels; then later destroying it in favour of building traps consisting of dynamite connected to a touch sensor as zombies approach, only to be crushed by a bunch of computer monitors welded together on a metal door with a winch connecting to a ragdoll of the G-Man.
