A FFVII remake isn't very interesting to me. I'm still getting a PS3, but I wouldn't buy the remake.

Hmmm...I'm skeptical about an FFVII remake, especially with how much of the original story and script (minus typos) will be replaced.

I really didn't like the way they made Cloud in the KH and Advent Children.

He came off as too emo. I mean, two years later and he's still crying over Aeris? Even though he seemed to have gotten over it at the end of FFVII.

I dunno. I'm uneasy about Square and what they do to FFVII, or any old FF. Or maybe it's Tetsuya...

I've heard tasty rumours that Square is considering to move the Kingdom Hearts series to the Wii. The same post told us about the tiny aliens used to power the PS3. So don't take that too seriously.

FFVII Remake? Isn't that what Advent Children, was? And then there was an offshoot in the form of Dirge of cerberus.

As for a game remake (or perhaps, direct sequal?)? I'm kind of suprised it hasn't happened yet. It's pretty obvious if they did it the fan horde would go ZOMG FFVII!!!1 and the thing would sell millions of copies on that alone. The fact that they haven't done that yet seems almost stupid. So what's stopping Square?

Actually, Advent Children was the sequal in movie form. During e3 I think Square showed a Ps3 tech demo using a revamped FF7 intro, and sicne then, people want a remake.

Me too. But it seems logical that they're gonna do it. They have done I,II,IV for the GBA. V soon if not already for the GBA. VI either late this year of early next year for the GBA. And III for the DS. After that, the only ones to start doing next is the PS Final Fantasy's. Starting with VII. If they did a stright port of VII VIII and IX with some extras like they have been doing, it would fit on a PSP. X, XII, and XIII? I don't see a remake of XI unless you consider the one made for the 360 one. X? Maybe. XII? Too new. But by the time Square considers remaking That we might be on Final Fantasy XVIII. If it does not end before that time comes.

But yeah. I want VI.

Iono, it seems like it would be a good idea. I mean, they made X2 for the love of... why not one people will, you know... enjoy..

The only reason I hold even the smallest hope was because of the PS3 FF7 tech demo. I mean, why even fire up the rumor mill with something like that unless you're fishing for a reaction from the public. Either way, as much of a die-hard MGS fan as I am, that along just isn't enough to spend the money on a PS3 right away. Perhaps in a year or so when they come down..

As for VI, ya, I want it. I just set up my new HDPC + Projection screen, and I need something very pretty to play, so logically, I must buy the game or the world could explode. Yep, it's true...
