I ****ing loved Iron Man.

The movie itself was excellent. Robert Downey witty, action exciting, special effects great. But what propelled it from "Wow, that was really great, I heartily recommend it!"-level awesome to "So awesome it requires an introduction. You've no doubt heard the expression 'Beat with the ugly-stick'. That stick must have come from somewhere, namely an awesome-tree. And if there's an awesome-tree, shouldn't their logically be other trees based on metaphysical concepts, like hope, and awesome? Well, the movie is like an awesome-tree being struck by awesome-lightening, causing it to fall on you, and then the awesome-branch, with you on it, is taken to a processing plant and turned into a table, and then the table is bought by Mr.T. Yeah, that awesome"-level awesome is the post-credits scene.

After the credits, Tony Stark walks into his house, and is greeted by a shadowy figure in his living room. The figure asks, "Did you really think you were the only superhero, Mr. Stark?". He turns around, revealing himself to be Samuel L. Jackson. Tony asks who he is, to which he introduces himself as Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D., and asks Tony, "Would you be interested in the 'Avengers initiative'?"

1) the SamJack fury is Ultimate Fury. Ultimate Fury was based directly off of (with his explicit permission) Mr. Jackson. while i prefer 616 Fury, i really like Jackson as an actor so whatever.

2) The Mandarin. and yes, i believe "The 10 Rings" (the guys Stark fights in this one) is an organization he is running and he'll show up in a sequel.

Just saw the movie last Sunday. Very nicely done, though the "bloopers" during the flight tests felt a lot more entertaining than the combat, imho :D

Its not that stupid considering how hollywood cluster fcks paranormal characters, and prefers to use the new comic line for characters instead of the more grounded and fleshed out ones.

I got to see the movie on Thursday at a special 8pm showing. After watching the movie I have now made it my life's goal to become Tony Stark so I can get the suit. I don't care if I have to become a belligerent drunk to get it, I will do it. My only Problem I had was Jarvis being a computer rather than his actual butler, but meh petty problems in a wonderful movie.

Considering that it's going to be tied in with a Thor movie when they all come together in the Avengers movie in 2011, I don't think so.

The Xmen movies and spiderman movies were made before Marvel decided not to allow Hollywood to rape their creations any more. All new movies are actually being done by Marvel itself. Hence why Iron Man did not suck.

Spider man 1 did not suck, Xmen was bearable in parts but most of it....was just stupid..Hulk made brain hurt......

Iron man was an amazing movie. I was glad I saw it. You guys saw after the credits right? That was pretty damn sweet if you ask me. The cast was picked well if you ask me. No one could have played stark better. And Hopefully we will see an avengers movie in the future.

As far as I know the Incredible Hulk will out this year,iron man 2,ant man is slated for 010.

Spider man 4 is on but delayed,Xmen 4 is on the rocks......

well it is the amrvel world after all thats something Hollywood has NEVER done right is that these are not separate worlds but you have alot of heroes/villains wondering around.

This one is called The Incredible hulk....yeah go figure.. why could they not just do Hulk 2 or something simple? But anyways The movies will never get the marvel world right.. but if you think about it could they really pull it off without looking super corny? I think Iron man was done pretty well.. and so was Xmen. And spiderman too.. except for 3 I did not really like that one. But im thinking about how big of a Hit the avengers movie might be... its a lose sequel they bought the rights back and are trying to patch the fcked up subplots in the first movie.

I thought spider man 1 was good despite the changes 2 was less so 3 was a joke, Xmen just rubs me the wrong way 1 is ok 2 gets dumber and 3 just....eeekkk....

Hell take Xmen put it in the Marvel world and go with modernized costumes,generic black suits are more corny IMO....

I didn't like 2 things in the movie, 1 the story about his heart is alil transparent, he had a heart issue from booze and genetics(defect) not from getting wounded selling weapons, but ti plays into the story and the story is not fail so I can't hate it much.

Um, no. The original story was, in fact, that he was wounded by shrapnel, albeit in Vietnam, and captured to make a weapon, where with another captive's assistance made the chest piece to keep the shrapnel from his heart.
