Normally I would not request the help of /OT/, but I am left with no other choice.

I'm opening this new website because I want to get rid of some old forum. Now, I wish for the new forum to not fail, and to do this, I'm going to need some members that aren't migrants. So if /OT/ would kindly register and posthere (http://www.cultofcynics.com/forums/index.php), that would be great.

You guys are among the best posters I know, so people like you are really needed.

Hah, I'll let them in but I want to prevent a big circlejerk. It's kinda how THEY roll, and I hope seeing people they don't know will emasculate them somewhat.

I did, and I think I made like six posts clarifying it. The first thread could have been saved if you had actually given it a clearly defined topic, whereas now it was "woah I had this weird realization that I really have to tell the internet about!". That could have easily been "hey guys, I wish they made a movie about a cop and a robot. What movies do you want?". That would have been worthwhile and actually really fun.

The second thread served to say something. One thing. How the hell do other people respond to that? I mean, in a way other than circlejerking? Don't do that.

I tried to register, but I wasn't sure which user was you, KN, for the who referred me field. Plus I still have yet to find one of those little verification codes that I can see all 6 characters. I usually can only make out about 5 of the 6 characters. Blasted hard to read verification codes.

Yeah, they're hard intentionally. You don't really have to put in a referer.
