anyone interested in being part of a non-PvP server guild? i've already got friends, co-workers, and some forum guys from G4 looking to hook up.

I can't wait :D. I don't know if I want to be on a PvE server or a PVP Server. Let alone what class I want to make, I wanted to be a lich but they crushed my dreams on that one already.

the Lich was rolled into the Necromancer, so just be that.

also, the PvP minigames (like tavern brawls) and the PvP Siege Areas are in all servers.

the difference is the PvP servers are free-for-all in all zones (except, perhaps guild city zones)

I love the idea of free for all zones, give the game a little more kick. If I see a guy running around in an area and I want to try and kill him I don't want to be restricted to it because the server doesn't allow it.

As I understand it AoC is being brought forth by FunCom those wonderful people that brought us AO (Anarchy Online) that nearly owned my soul.

I must admit to having an interest in the title (been following it for a few months now) as for playing on a PvE server and having others around as a lowbie such is good.

more that i enjoy gaming with her, and a PvE setting allows me to control the situation more predictably than PvP settings.

increased control of the setting allows for better experience.

And guarantees you will not be sleeping on the couch tonight :D. I jest, I understand what you mean. I am one for the chaotic unpredictability of a PVP world though.

so a few updates:
1) Amazon has announced their pre-order special: the Amazon Bow (good for ranged)

2) anyone who has pre-ordered has the chance to get into the Head Start weekend. for $5, you gain access to ahead-of-time download of the game and the ability to start playing on the 17th (America) or the 20th (Europe), this also includes 10 days of playtime in addition to the standard free 30 days you get when you load up your game code.

3) i'm in the GameSpot PvP beta this weekend. yay!

9 days for me. i'm signed on for the 3-day head start. and then i took monday and tuesday off work.

How big is the download for the three day? I am able to participate in it, but I do not know if it will be worth it if the DL is ****ing huge.

shouldn't be any bigger than the install from disc. the download will be available on the 14th. head start is the 17th, so you've got 3 days to download and install.

when i got the PvP Beta download, i pulled it right from Funcom and it only took about an hour to get.

its 17gig i think. At least that was the size of the beta client.
