Probably not the sensationalist headline some were hoping for, but it really is business as usual as far as Rockstar, the BBFC and the British public are concerned.

BBFC hands the game an 18 certificate giving it the all clear for release. (http://www.videogamer.com/news/01-04-2008-7908.html)

Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV has been awarded an 18 certificate by the British Board of Film Classification. According to the classification the game received an 18 rating for "strong violence, very strong language, very strong sex references and drugs use".

The BBFC website states that "This work was passed with no cuts made", so we should be getting the game as Rockstar intended. This means the highly anticipated game is now all clear for release on April 29 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The BBFC listing has since been removed from the website.

Oh crap, I mean oh Yay!..for british gamers..it doesn't necessarily bode well for us Australian "Murder Simulation" fans. By god I'll take to the streets if they ban it! Then I'll take to the Internets and order one from the U.K;) while I'm at it I'll get a copy of Dark Sector, I hate to admit it but I can't see that whole spinning Glaive dismemberment mechanic getting old in a hurry.
The guys at the game shop I usually go to are really giving GTAIV a big build up, so I said to them the other day "What if it's not any good?" The manager shot back " There'll be Mass depression". His assistant just stared at me like I'd gobbed at him.

TA DAA!, don't you hate it when Im right, half right anyway, how many copies of the game do they want to sell? Even with postage a copy from overseas will cost about the same, fools.
