call of duty 4 map kit

i have seen heard about a free kit for making maps.
i am really intrested in creating some maps but i dont have any idea where to get it.

all help would be great.

I think in the spring update IW are supposed to be releasing the modkit, which should allow you to make maps that can be played on the PC and 360 versions of CoD4

Hey buddy, Its been out for a while now so im not sure if its over or not. I really wanted to take part in this, i've had some wild ideas of creating maps.
