reminds me of the WarCraft II in-game tip: "Never spit into the wind"
I take it the "into" part refers to when the wind is blowing in the direction of your face, making the Russian reversal true: "In Soviet Russia, wind pisses on you!"
kinda reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Bart, Lisa and Milhouse are riding a carnival ride, and Bart and Lisa are trying to hock loogies onto each other, and end up hitting Milhouse

And I mentioned so a wee bit back when I was, and am still, considering writing a letter to authority figures regarding that bit about wanting GP posters to be legally executed under the death penalty.

BTW I don't think he qualifies as a fairytale character, as he is more of a lazy disney piece of work (needed more guns IMHO)
He'll still get his name in the history books, as an example of how to fail.
And the first physical human embodiment of fail, they will start harvesting him after he passes away you know, turn what is left of him into failjuice to use on the people in life we want to see suffer (Gordon Brown would be a good start)

I propose the death penalty for all gamers who post at GamePolitics. Jack Thompson Oh, and enjoy:
According to EZK, Dennis confirmed the validity of the post and chose to keep it up. I'm glad he did. Not that my opinion carries any weight, but I prefer John Bruce's posts to be kept up for posterity, if nothing else. I want the public to see just what kind of sociopath he really is.

Whew! I had to double check a site that I emailed regarding John Bruce. Shortly after I emailed them, by just a few days, he made that announcement that he was to be invited to another hate group... er... "Pro-Family" organization. I thought maybe I misread the site's info. I just double checked and it was what I originally thought it was.
The organization is www.savedade.org (http://www.savedade.org) . I emailed them regarding his comments regarding the Florida Bar Foundation and his opposition to their support for a homosexual Rights group. I wrote about a few other things regarding John Bruce. I haven't heard back from them, if they write back at all. But I suddenly became worried that they intended to support John Bruce because I misread their purpose.
But I didn't so it won't be them who he'll speak to.

Hmm that should prove interesting. Just cannot see jackie fitting in with a group that sponsors personal liberties such as freedom of religion or sex. Jack has gone on the record as having been against people in the florida bar that merely mentioned that gay/lesbian marriage (or whatever it is called) is ok. www.savadade.org openly supports such things.
Still jackie has proven now and again to be a charismatic persona when the need or his personal (selfish) interest is involved. Of course he normally reverts to type and backstabs the people shortly thereafter, but by then the damage as such is done.

I think it was just coincedence and I freaked for nothing. It's most likely not their group.

JT flaunts it as if it's some huge accomplishment. He's shown he can conduct himself in a civil manner, just he never choses to when it doesn't suit him. Which leads me to believe he's trying to lose his job on purpose, likely thinking he can sue later for discrimination or something, while ignoring that these court records will be available to every judge in the country. And good luck finding a lawyer to represent him.

He used that 'T2 sells GTA to kids of all ages over the internet' thing. Personally, I would have liked to see Stuttering Craig interview him XD
You may have noticed that a recent post by Jackass at JAABlog made mention of his representing a Meryl Lanson in a matter which currently pends (and has pended since 1999) before a Judge Cohen. You may have wondered how Jackass actually ended up with a client willing to have him represent them in any legal matter before a court. If you did, then run "Meryl Lanson" through Google. You may find the results entertaining. If nothing else, they should explain what Lanson and Thompson are doing together in the first place. Birds of a feather . . . .
Lanson was once represented by a Mary Alice Gwynn, an attorney currently facing her own disciplinary before the Florida Bar and who apprently is represented therein by Jackass. Gwynn was found by the Judge in the Lanson matter to be unfamiliar with most all of the applicable procedural, ethical, and substantive rules of court. Birds of a feather . . . .

The 4th was only the deadline Judge Tunis had to submit her recommendation. I expect it to take a few more weeks/months before his disbarrment is officially passed.
I've read his lastest letter on JAABlog (yes, he started again).
I've only got one thing to say.
GP: You summon and sue, summon and sue.
I fail to see the logic here.
Is sanity, the price to pay, for cultural crusades?
Jack: Gamers, they are both stubborn and foolish.
It takes them a journey through hell to accept and praise my god.
A fact that tickles the Florida bar's judgement.
GP members: Ah, and your judgement's a great deal of interest.
As they're here, to reclaim the peace that you startled.
Jack: MURDER SIMULATORS!!! That is what you seek.
And this is why I post on your site.
Florida Bar members: You will fumble in opposition of our pursuit of peace.
GP members: Though we encourage! For an opportunity to battle a being of such grand delusions as you, is a sweet fortune!
Once he's disbarred....
GP: If you plan to pass the bar exam again, do your homework first.
FB: And the rest is silence.
Sorry. After reading his letter, I felt like writing this. Anyone can recognize this speech?

Just pray Sarah Palin doesn't get elected along with McCain. I saw her interview with Charles Gibson last night. Some of the things she said really scared the hell out of me. Not only did she seem almost as much of a blind religious zealot as JT is (in fact, she could just as easily be JT in a dress), but she also could be very likely to start World War III given her remarks on Russia and Iran.
I came away with the feeling that if JT ever managed to get her ear, he'd find a willing and appreciative audience in her.
I used to think Hillary was bad, that she would act like she wanted to be everybody's mom if she became president. I now stand corrected; Palin is much worse! She really is a PTA mom and would probably act like one in office. True, she may not have a record when it comes to video game legislation...yet. But it wasn't hard for me to imagine her coming down hard on video games in the wake of the next cultural outrage over them and pushing aggressively for some sort of legislation given her ultra-conservative views.
Biden may not be perfect either with regards to the DMCA, but something tells me he'd be a lot more sensible over video game issues than Palin would.

Explains why JT keeps insulting Biden.
JT votes Republican. That should explain everything.

JT votes Republican. That should explain everything. There are PLENTY of liberal Democrats who are as gung-ho for censorship as conservative Republicans. The world isn't black and white...

Well we need to remember part of how Thompson seems to work.
He seems to believe that his side is always right and he is well within his rights or in some cases duty to demonize, insult, harass, and pretty much be a complete ass to the "opposing" side. So while there are people on the other side who will agree with him, well, we've seen how he treats them even if they agree with him on one or two things.
Either you agree with him completely, or you are an enemy.

Exactly how, since you know me so well, do I think the world works?

So did Jack actually get banned from Jaablog? Or is he just focusing his efforts back on GP since he seems to be allowed to post again?
Exactly how, since you know me so well, do I think the world works?
I cannot enlighten those within the reality distortion bubble. Make a run to the border and I will tell you.

I guess that's the internet...

I too would like to know how you think the world works, and why he's wrong, and why you refuse to answer his question when he called you on it?

So...how about that latest threat he posted on JAAblog?
