Bam, generally, GP readers and the ECA do not look upon video game legislation as a good thing. Although all views are welcome here on GP/ECA Forums, I'm not sure why you might expect to find much love here for candidates who support such legislation?
Or am I misreading what you meant?

Definetly misreading. I am looking for candidates who have support video games and belive that they do not cause voilence. I know a few elected officials who are PRO GAME. They are mostly on the local level.

Gotcha... my bad.
I think you're more likely to find pols who support the First Amendment, and all of its protections, no matter what the form of media. Those folks will generally oppose game-oriented legislation.
Not many pols are specifically willing to endorse video games as a category. And that's probably an interesting discussion right there - why won't they?

Because many parents are locked into the idea that videogames are causing much of the violence that is occurring today, therefore it would seem like someone who wanted to protect the industry was working to corrupt their children, regardless of the fact that most videogame players are much older than 10-12 years old, until parents wake up and understand that it is going to be a cold day in hell before a presidential hopeful puts his chances of presidency on the line for an entertainment medium

I think the UK and europe in general is going after videogames hardocre. I know quite a few local and state legislators who are avid gamer, but they aren't willing to lose political capital on the video game side of things.

Which only shows them up as being afraid of the impact that being a game sympathiser will have on their reputation in politics, making them not too good in my eyes
