TO me the WII is it, the 360 and PS3 are just poorly thought out in to many area to even fool with right now and the PS3 is building up to have more "issues" than the 360.
I just wish they didn't split Zelda TWP into a GC and WII version....

I'm getting a Wii as it is the only generation in which I'll only have to really worry about money for games and not for the system itself. The 360 is getting better in my eyes, but it needs a few more killer apps to get me to buy one.

I can agree the 360 is recovering from its horrid lunch.
Mabye in a year it will worth be gett'in,the PS3 makes my brain hurt....so I will watch it and see how used games are priced.

Luckily for me I already have a huge ass HD tv, but I don't have the monies to be a 360.... keep in mind I didn't buy the tv.
MY tv is HD... but it has no HDMI, and no direct component out (DVI cable has component cables on there, BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANT. I NEED HOLES FOR THEM T_T)

keep your shorts on they make a ton of converters and stuff ,and cables and crap,altho some converters down convert and that sucks.
Basically.. I just need a new tv. I'm giving this one to my parents.

HDMI is the new DVI ,its audio and video al rolled up into 1 plug BUT the most important thign about it is hollywads DRM they are going to start putting on HD/BR movies in 2-4 years no HDMI moive will only play at 540p

Meh they are a corporation and have to make games for all systems to make more money ,they will either make deals to make one game exclusive to one system for money or they could team up with Nintendo if the money was right...mmmmm so like FF11 on the WII? *kills self*

Well, it's like saying "ford is moving to propane and hybrid cars!". While it is true that Squeenix is going to further diversy it's product line by making more offerings for the Wii, it will continue it's fladship of super-high end final fantasy games for Sony and possibly MS.
In other words, more crystal chronicles, slime and chocobo games for Nintendo systems.
I personally can't wait for chocobo's magic story book for DS. And the new secret of mana game.

But it won't happen with the Interactive Movie line of FF games. But come on, would you rather play the chocobo magical storybook on DS where you actually get to DO THINGS sometimes, or would you rather pop in the FFXII disk and just be like...120 hours later the game tells u it's over. :)

Actually, I'd say that's true but only for now. If the PS3 tanks and the Wii comes in first, I'd expect things to change. Right now Sony gets FF because Sony is winning. So if Sony stops winning...

Actually, from what I remember hearing, Crystal Chronicles was made so they could release games on the GBA. Basically what happend is they wanted to make GBA games (who didn't?) and Nintendo, seeing an oppertunity used the GBA to force them into making a Gamecube game. It was a simple choice: Make something for the Gamecube, or no GBA games. So one rather nasty bait-and-switch later, Crystal Chronicles is born.
Still, either way the basic idea still stands: To the victer goes the materia, or something like that.
Coincidentally: I wonder if SquareEnix is expecting the PS3 to fail. Again, their getting oddly buddy-buddy with Nintendo and Microsoft which doesn't make much sence given their usual stance. Maybe they're trying to make a backup plan in case things go sour?
Then there's Sachaguchi's new developement studio (the original creator of FF) making games for the 360, if I recall.

Squenix sees Nintendo as a great place to make a ****ton of money out of remakes on the GBA/DS, and Microsoft as a good way to get a foot in the quite lucrative MMORPG market. But notice that all their main releases STILL come out on PS2 (even though I have to admit most of their newer games are quite horrible...).

Then why make a Wii bound Crystal Chronicles sequal and Kenshin Dragon Quest game? Sure their not "main" releases. But their still releases on a system that past experence says they shouldn't have any interest in.
Unless they wanted at that virtual console and Nintendo pulled the noose on them again I guess. That would explane it but still, two games? Why not just do the Kenshin launch title and leave it at that? The fact that it's two games instaid of one already has me wondering what's up, and in their porting to the 360 on top of that and that just makes it worce. Maybe that's all we'll see, but if more games show up you'd have to wonder if someones hedging their bets.
And again: The PS2 gets the main releases because the PS2 is winning. The PS3 isn't quite doomed yet, but it doesn't look like a sure win at this point either. So why wouldn't SquareEnix try to get in good with the other companies? It's good to have a fall back, right?

Definitely getting a Wii. Unfortunately I missed the Gamestop preorder, as the preorders were all sold out 10 minutes after my local store had opened, and I was at work. When I got there, during my lunch break, they were gone.

Well, I'm definitely getting a Wii. The 360 and the PS3 just aren't cutting it for me. Honestly, their pricepoints are just a bit too high, just to get spiffy graphics. I mean, I've seen plenty of games where the developers focused on awesome graphics and produced horrid games. The Wii seems to emphasize gameplay more, with the lower-end graphics system it has, which I have yet to find even one game that focused on awesome gameplay that was not fun.
